Public school security personnel are prohibited from engaging in federal immigration investigation or enforcement functions under § 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act while at public schools

School security personnel may not produce or share student educational records, employee personnel records, or any information about students, employees, or their families for federal immigration enforcement purposes

When presented with a valid judicial warrant, judicial subpoena, or legal order for such information, security personnel must immediately contact the county superintendent and local school system's legal counsel

"Public school security personnel" includes school resource officers, school security employees, and law enforcement officers providing coverage to schools through local agreements
