Municipalities must submit candidate qualifications for each office to the State Board of Elections at least 3 months before the filing deadline for regular municipal elections

Within 10 business days of scheduling a special election, municipalities must report the election date, offices on the ballot, and candidate qualifications to the State Board

Within 10 business days after the candidate filing deadline, municipalities must submit a list of qualified candidates and information on how and where to vote

The State Board of Elections must immediately publish all submitted municipal election information on its website

Within 30 days after election results are certified, municipalities must submit electronic copies of results broken down by voting method (early voting, mail-in, provisional, and election day) and include party affiliation for partisan elections
