General Assembly members may use campaign funds to reimburse themselves for home security system expenses (acquisition, installation, maintenance, or upgrade) at their primary residence, capped at $1,000 per term and once per election cycle

Members who pay out-of-pocket for home security systems may alternatively seek reimbursement directly from the General Assembly, subject to the same $1,000 limit and once per term restriction

Campaign entities making security-related disbursements must submit proof of the expense and completed work to the State Board of Elections and maintain receipts

Security system disbursements from campaign accounts are not considered campaign expenditures for election law purposes
