Teachers with 10-year National Board Certifications (NBCs) awarded on or before December 31, 2021, with expiration dates between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2031, become eligible for career ladder salary increases upon renewal of their certification

Establishes salary increase caps for 10-year NBC holders: $8,000 for initial renewal, $7,000 for first maintenance after 5 years from renewal, and $6,000 for second maintenance

Maintains existing salary increase structure for 5-year NBC holders: $8,000 for first maintenance, $7,000 for second maintenance, and $6,000 for third maintenance

Applies retroactively to affect teacher salary increases for NBC holders under the career ladder provisions on or before July 1, 2026

Takes effect July 1, 2026
