Repeals the requirement that school buses be constructed with materials meeting the seat upholstery fire block test criteria established by the National School Transportation specifications from the National Congress on School Transportation

Retains the Motor Vehicle Administration's authority to adopt regulations promoting school bus fire safety standards, with advice from the Department of Education

Amends Section 7-808 of the Education Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland

Effective date: July 1, 2026
