Sports wagering licensees and operators that advertise in Maryland must contract with licensed independent evaluators to rate their sports wagering content, experts, influencers, and content partners (changing from optional to mandatory)

The independent evaluators must be licensed by the State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission under existing provisions

The Act only takes effect if the State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission issues licenses to at least three independent evaluators

Effective date: July 1, 2026, contingent on the licensing requirement being met
