Requires placement in an abbreviated school day program be based on individual medical or behavioral health needs and documented in a health care directive, IEP, IFSP, or Section 504/ADA plan

Mandates written parental consent after informing parents of the student's right to equal instruction hours, the prohibition on placement without documentation, and the right to withdraw consent at any time

Prohibits schools from using abbreviated school days due to lack of resources such as staffing, training, or supportive services

Requires schools to restore full school day access within 5 school days if a parent revokes consent; requirements must be reviewed every 45 school days until the student returns to a full schedule
