Mobile home owners or their association have first option to purchase the park if at least 51% of owner-occupied homes sign a petition supporting the offer

Park owners must negotiate in good faith and cannot reject offers solely for including a financing contingency or require nonrefundable deposits from resident groups

Resident groups have 90 days after executing a purchase agreement to secure financing and close the sale

Mobile home owners' associations may assign their purchase rights to the municipality, Maine State Housing Authority, municipal housing authorities, or nonprofit organizations that agree to continue operating the property as a mobile home park
