Doubles the minimum commercial insurance reimbursement rate for ambulance services from 200% to 400% of the Medicare rate

Insurance carriers must pay either the ambulance provider's rate or 400% of Medicare rate, whichever is less

Eliminates the distinction between in-network and out-of-network ambulance providers for reimbursement purposes

Repeals provisions in existing law (24-A MRSA §4303-F) that established separate reimbursement rules based on network participation status

Amends reimbursement formulas for both standard ambulance services and services calculated using the average of basic and advanced life support Medicare rates
