Establishes a 7-year term for newly appointed dedimus justices, who administer oaths to qualify civil officers under the Maine Constitution; those appointed prior to October 1, 2025 are exempt from this term limit

Requires dedimus justices to notify the Governor and Secretary of State within 30 days of any changes to their name, address, email, or phone number

Creates a formal resignation process requiring written notice to the Governor and Secretary of State, with return of the commission certificate

Directs the Secretary of State to mail all current dedimus justices appointed before October 1, 2025 requesting updated contact information and explaining the new law changes

Enacted as emergency legislation, effective immediately upon the Governor's approval on June 12, 2025, to address a shortage of available dedimus justices statewide
