Allows hearing aid dealers to sell replacement hearing aids of the same specifications to customers of any age without requiring a new hearing examination, provided the customer currently uses a hearing aid, is replacing a lost, stolen, broken, or failing device, and is too ill or infirm to safely attend an examination

Maintains existing requirement that persons 18 years or younger must have a written statement from an otolaryngologist confirming a hearing examination within 90 days before purchasing a new (non-replacement) hearing aid

Preserves the exemption allowing individuals to decline hearing examinations on religious grounds

Exception for replacement sales applies only unless prohibited by federal law or regulation
