Solid waste landfills that collect leachate must integrate PFAS sampling and analysis into their water quality monitoring plans on a department-approved schedule, with results reported annually and published on the department's website.

Wastewater discharge licensees must maintain records and annually report to the department on the origin, volume, and final disposition of landfill leachate they accept for treatment or management.

Property owners with private drinking water wells within one mile of and abutting a landfill can request free one-time PFAS testing of their well, paid for by the landfill operator.

If initial testing indicates possible PFAS contamination from the landfill, the department can require the landfill to conduct additional sampling of the affected private water supply.
