Lowers the voting threshold to extend legislative sessions beyond statutory adjournment dates from two-thirds (2/3) to a simple majority of members present and voting in each chamber

Applies to both first regular sessions (which must adjourn by the 3rd Wednesday in June) and second regular sessions (which must adjourn by the 3rd Wednesday in April)

Allows the Legislature to extend adjournment by up to 5 legislative days in case of emergency, with the possibility of an additional 5-day extension for further emergencies

Maintains existing provision allowing one additional legislative day extension for considering potential gubernatorial vetoes
