Reduces the minimum age for a vehicle to qualify as an "antique auto" from 35 years old back to 25 years old, reversing a 2023 law change

Grandfathers vehicles already registered as antiques in Maine prior to January 2025 that are between 25 and 35 years old

Requires antique auto owners to prove they have a separate registered and insured primary vehicle before registering an antique auto

Prohibits operating an antique auto if the owner's primary vehicle is not currently registered and insured

Violations constitute a civil offense with fines up to $2,500 and potential immediate revocation of the antique auto registration by the Secretary of State
