Property was acquired by the State in 1973-1974 through gift and purchase, with deed restrictions requiring use as a demonstration forest, wildlife management area, or for educational/scientific purposes for 99 years

Conveyance must include perpetual deed restrictions requiring sustainable forestry or wildlife management as primary purposes, with allowance for related scientific/educational uses and compatible public recreation

Sale proceeds must be deposited in the Public Reserved Lands Acquisition Fund and used exclusively to purchase replacement land in Cumberland County for the same purposes

Baxter State Park Director must notify abutting Long Reach Lane property owners and the legislative parks and lands committee at least 14 days before any public meeting on the proposed conveyance, with opportunity for legislative committee review
