Authorizes municipalities to adopt orders, ordinances, policies, or regulations limiting or prohibiting firearm possession within municipal buildings, voting places, and at municipal public proceedings

Violations may be subject to civil penalties of up to $1,000 per offense

Federal, state, county, and local law enforcement officers are exempt and must be allowed to possess firearms in these locations

Municipalities must post prominent notice outside all affected buildings and locations indicating the firearm restrictions and any exceptions

Restrictions apply only to municipal portions of shared buildings; nonmunicipal parts and users of a building are not affected when municipal proceedings occur in non-municipal facilities
