Increases the annual assessment cap for the Safety Education and Training Fund from 1% to 2% of total workers' compensation benefits paid by all licensed carriers and self-insured employers

Assessment is levied on insurance carriers licensed for workers' compensation business in Maine and on group and individual self-insured employers

Funds support the Department of Labor's safety education and training program, with assessments calculated based on each payer's proportion of total workers' compensation benefits (excluding medical payments)
