Prior to September 1, 2026, prohibits use of lead sinkers or unpainted lead jigs weighing one ounce or less or measuring 2.5 inches or less

Beginning September 1, 2026, expands the prohibition to include all lead jigs (painted or unpainted) weighing one ounce or less or measuring 2.5 inches or less

Violations carry civil fines of $100 to $500, with repeat offenders (3+ violations within 5 years) facing Class E criminal charges
