Establishes the Maine Nonprofit Security Grant Program within the Office of the Attorney General to help nonprofit organizations improve security against hate crimes and terror attacks

Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofits that demonstrate high risk of a hate crime or terror attack targeting their organization or facilities

Grants may fund physical security enhancements, security personnel costs, and development of security plans and protocols

Appropriates $2,000,000 in one-time General Fund money for fiscal year 2026-27

Office of the Attorney General will administer the program through a request for proposals process and may adopt routine technical rules for implementation
