Imposes a mandatory $500 assessment on persons convicted of engaging a person for prostitution, sex trafficking, aggravated sex trafficking, soliciting a child for commercial sexual exploitation, or commercial sexual exploitation of a minor or person with a mental disability

Increases the assessment to $1,000 for repeat offenders who have previously been assessed under this section for any of the covered crimes

Directs all collected assessment funds to the Victims' Compensation Fund, specifically earmarked for victims and survivors of these crimes

Allows courts to waive all or part of the assessment based on the convicted person's ability to pay

Requires courts to notify the Department of Corrections or county sheriff of any unpaid assessment balances at the time of commitment
