Allows fire sprinkler contractors to obtain permits from registered municipalities as an alternative to the State Fire Marshal

Establishes a fee structure for municipal-reviewed projects with occupied spaces: 1¢ per square foot remitted to the Department of Public Safety and 4¢ per square foot paid to the municipality

Appropriates $354,800 in FY 2026-27 from Other Special Revenue Funds for 2 Public Safety Inspector II positions to review fire sprinkler system plans
