Maine would adopt Eastern Standard Time (EST) as its year-round standard time, eliminating the twice-yearly clock changes for daylight saving time

Repeals the previous 2019 law that would have adopted year-round Eastern Daylight Time contingent on federal approval and other eastern time zone states making the same change

Removes the requirement for the Secretary of State to monitor federal law changes and other states' actions regarding daylight saving time

Updates lobster trap regulations in 12 MRSA §6440 to remove the reference to "Eastern Daylight Savings Time" for the weekend hauling prohibition period (June 1 - August 31)
