Amends Maine's professional engineer licensing statute (32 MRSA §1352-A) to change terminology from "person" to "applicant for licensure" for those with active national council records seeking licensure without further examination

Creates a new pathway for professional engineer licensure through mutual recognition agreements between Maine and other U.S. states, territories, the District of Columbia, or foreign countries

Allows applicants to be licensed without further examination if their qualifications under a mutual recognition agreement are deemed substantially equivalent to Maine's requirements by the licensing board

Signed into law by the Governor on May 23, 2025, becoming Public Law Chapter 89
