Maine Geological Survey must contract for a geomorphic study of the Sandy River watershed to update flood hazard data

Study must assess river movement, erosion, sedimentation, and their impacts on flood risk and river health

Coordinating agencies include FEMA, Maine DOT, DEP, Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and Maine Emergency Management Agency

Study results must provide Sandy River watershed residents and those in similar river systems with flood risk information and risk management options

Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry shall seek funding to support study costs
