Directs the Department of Labor to amend equal pay rules (Chapter 12) to clarify that different facilities operated by a hospital or health care entity at separate physical locations are not considered a single "establishment"

Requires amendment to the "seniority system" definition to specify that preference must be given to workers based on years of service or based on pertinent experience or credentials

Rule changes must be finally adopted by October 1, 2025

Enacted as emergency legislation, taking effect immediately upon approval (June 9, 2025) to address Maine's serious shortage of health care providers in rural communities
