Amends the definition of "machine gun" in 17-A MRSA §1051 to mean a weapon that shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily restored to shoot automatically more than one shot by a single function of the trigger without manually reloading

Replaces the previous 1975 definition which described a weapon capable of discharging multiple projectiles in rapid succession by one manual or mechanical action

Expands the definition to explicitly include the frame or receiver of a machine gun, with "frame" defined as the housing surrounding the receiver and "receiver" as the rotor, bolts, and firing mechanism

Includes parts or combination of parts designed solely to convert a weapon into a machine gun

Covers any combination of parts collected together from which a machine gun can be assembled
