Increases state reimbursement for general assistance program costs from 70% to 90% for municipalities and Indian tribes

For the 6 municipalities or Indian tribes receiving the highest state reimbursement (July 2021-June 2025), implements a phased increase: 75% reimbursement starting July 1, 2026; 80% starting July 1, 2028; 90% starting July 1, 2030

All other municipalities and Indian tribes receive the full 90% reimbursement rate immediately beginning July 1, 2026

Current 70% reimbursement rate has been in effect since July 1, 2015 and continues through June 30, 2026
