Allows affidavits to correct errors or omissions in previously recorded documents, including scrivener's errors, omissions, and incorrect recording locations, to be recorded in the register of deeds office where the property is located.

Requires affidavits to be made by a person with knowledge of relevant facts or competent to testify about those facts in court, and must meet requirements of sections 1b and 1c of the existing statute.

Provides an alternative to filing a corrective affidavit: recording a new document that indicates the corrective changes and references the errant recording by liber and page number or other unique identifying number.

Requires county registers of deeds to index all names recited within the corrective affidavit.
