HB 5106 Summary

• Amends the Nonprofit Health Care Corporation Reform Act to limit health care corporation obligations regarding chiropractic services to those within the scope of practice defined as of January 1, 2009.

• Health care corporations are not required to provide benefits or reimburse for chiropractic services that expanded beyond the January 1, 2009 definition of chiropractic practice.

• Makes parallel changes to both standard participating provider contracts (Section 502) and prudent purchaser agreements (Section 502a).

• Does not alter the status of chiropractic services that were covered under the January 1, 2009 scope of practice definition.
