Secretary of State must immediately suspend a person's operator or chauffeur license upon notification from the friend of the court that the licensee failed to appear for a hearing, comply with a repayment plan, or respond to a license suspension notice under child support enforcement law.

License suspension remains in effect until the person obtains a compliance certificate from the friend of the court, pays a $45.00 driver license clearance fee to the circuit court clerk, and pays the reinstatement fee under section 320e.

Person must provide the compliance certificate to the Secretary of State within 10 days of issuance or the certificate becomes invalid and the person must obtain a new certificate before license reinstatement.

Secretary of State must reissue the license within 30 days after receiving the compliance certificate, proof of fee payment, and the reinstatement fee.

Of each $45.00 clearance fee collected, $15.00 goes to the Secretary of State for processing expenses and $30.00 goes to the county friend of the court fund.
