Courts must order defendants convicted of felonies to pay a $130.00 assessment and those convicted of misdemeanors to pay a $75.00 assessment.

Courts must order juveniles adjudicated of offenses to pay a $25.00 assessment, with only one assessment per case regardless of offense type.

Assessment payments can be collected from cash bonds or bail deposits posted in connection with the case.

Court clerks must transmit 90% of collected assessments to the state treasury monthly, with courts retaining 10% for administrative costs and crime victim services.

The act's effective date of December 16, 2010 is contingent upon enactment of Senate Bill No. 1003 and House Bill No. 5667.
