MI HB6101

Adds new exemption to Michigan's Freedom of Information Act allowing public bodies to withhold records that would reveal the identity of victims under age 18 in cases of child abuse, criminal sexual conduct, sexual assault, or molestation.

Prohibits disclosure of victims' names and addresses, family members' names and addresses with the same surname as the victim (except the accused), and any other information that would identify the victim or reveal familial/other relationships to the accused.

Maintains existing exemptions under the FOIA while clarifying that the identity protection provisions apply specifically to records pertaining to crimes where one or more victims are less than 18 years of age.
