Sets reimbursement rates at $60.00 per diem for presumptive prison sentences, $50.00 per diem for straddle cell Group 1 crimes, and $35.00 per diem for straddle cell Group 2 crimes, with payments capped at one year per offender.

Requires quarterly meetings between legislative appropriations chairs, Department of Corrections representatives, the Michigan Sheriff's Association, and the Michigan Association of Counties to review projected reimbursements and funding adequacy.

Defines "in custody of the sheriff" to include felons housed in county jail or released and monitored through electronic monitoring systems; defines Group 1 and Group 2 crimes by offense category.
