School districts, intermediate school districts, and public school academies must adopt and implement a policy prohibiting harassment, intimidation, bullying, and cyberbullying at school within 6 months of the bill's effective date.

All teachers hired after policy adoption must sign a statement acknowledging they have read and are familiar with the anti-bullying policy.

School districts and public school academies must include language prohibiting harassment, intimidation, bullying, and cyberbullying in technology terms of use policies, with students and parents required to sign these agreements to use school technology.

"At school" includes conduct in classrooms, on school premises, on school buses, at school-sponsored activities, on routes to/from school, and electronic communications using school-owned or school-controlled devices or services.

Harassment, intimidation, bullying, or cyberbullying includes written, verbal, physical, or electronic acts motivated by a student's actual or perceived protected characteristics (race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity, etc.) that intend to cause physical harm, substantially interfere with education, create a threatening environment, or disrupt school operations.
