Urges the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to continue operating the Perinatology Research Branch (PRB) facility in Detroit, Michigan, which was awarded a 10-year NIH contract to Wayne State University in 2002.

PRB conducts clinical and basic research in perinatal medicine to develop diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive strategies for improving pregnancy outcomes and trains physicians and scientists in maternal and fetal healthcare.

Over 15,000 pregnant women, predominantly from low-income households, have received clinical care through the PRB's partnership with Wayne State University since its establishment.

PRB generates significant economic impact, employing over 120 individuals in research and clinical positions, creating 150 indirect jobs, and bringing more than $200 million in federal research funds to Michigan over the past 10 years.

Requires copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and to Wayne State University.
