Acknowledges that pollinators help produce approximately one out of every three bites of food consumed in the United States and reproduce at least 80 percent of flowering plants

Notes that domestic honeybees alone pollinate an estimated $14.6 billion worth of crops annually in the United States on more than 2 million acres

Recognizes the economic interest of Michigan agricultural producers and consumers in maintaining healthy and sustainable pollinator populations

Applauds cooperative conservation efforts that increase awareness about pollinators and build support for protecting and sustaining pollinator species
