Declares March 17, 2010, as AKA Day in the state of Michigan to honor Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Recognizes Alpha Kappa Alpha as the first sorority in the world established by African-American women, founded at Howard University on January 15, 1908.

Acknowledges the sorority's 102-year history of community service, current membership of over 250,000 college-educated women, and more than 950 chapters worldwide.

Highlights the sorority's 2006-2010 initiative "The Heart of E.S.P.: An Extraordinary Service Program" focused on entrepreneurship, economic development, and health resource management under International President Barbara A. McKinzie.

Directs transmission of this resolution to Alpha Kappa Alpha's International President and Great Lakes Regional Director in recognition of the organization's community achievements and civic contributions.
