Commends his 17 years with State Farm Insurance prior to his 2008 election to the House and his service as vice-chair of the House Republican Caucus.

Acknowledges his legislative accomplishments including budget process reform, tax reduction advocacy, and sponsored legislation on child car safety and state compensation for security training services at private colleges and universities.

Directs that copies of the resolution be transmitted to Representative DeShazor and his family as an expression of the House's gratitude for his service to Kalamazoo County and Michigan.
