Employers shall not employ a minor (age 16+) more than 6 days per week in occupations covered by the Youth Employment Standards Act.

Employers shall not employ a minor (age 16+) an average of more than 8 hours per day or more than 10 hours in a single day.

Employers shall not employ a minor (age 16+) more than 48 hours per week, except students attending school may work a maximum of 20 hours per week while school is in session.

Employers shall not employ minors (age 16+) between 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., except student workers may work until 11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays or during school vacation periods.

Agricultural employers in seed production and processing may exceed these limits if: work occurs during school breaks, minor works maximum 11 hours per day, employer obtains written parental consent, and minor is not employed between 2 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.
