Prohibits employers from failing to hire, recruiting, discharging, or discriminating against employees based on a known or believed illness or health condition of a family member.

Prohibits employers from inquiring about the physical condition or health status of an employee's family members, with exceptions for verifying sick leave eligibility, family and medical leave eligibility, or processing health coverage claims.

Prohibits retaliation or discrimination against employees who file complaints, testify in investigations, or oppose violations of the act.

Voids any agreements requiring applicants or employees to waive rights under the act.

Allows injured persons to bring civil suits for injunctive relief and damages, with courts awarding costs and reasonable attorney fees to prevailing plaintiffs.
