Changes terminology from "driver" to "operator" throughout the Michigan vehicle code sections on accident reporting procedures.

Requires vehicle operators involved in accidents resulting only in property damage to locate and notify the property owner, provide their name, address, and vehicle registration number, and exhibit their operator's license upon request.

Mandates that if the property owner cannot be found, the operator must immediately report the accident to the nearest police officer.

Requires operators involved in accidents causing injury, death, or property damage of $1,000 or more to immediately report to the nearest police station or officer.

Directs police to forward accident reports to the Michigan Department of State Police on prescribed forms, which must be retained for not less than 3 years and made available to the public for $10.00.
