Water bottlers and water dispensing machine owners must register each brand of bottled water with the department before sale, including a proposed label or placard indicating caffeine content if present.

Registration requires a $25.00 fee per brand of water with unique declaration of identity and $25.00 per water dispensing machine, annually expiring on April 30.

Registration must be renewed 30 calendar days before expiration, with a $25.00 late fee assessed for any bottled water or dispensed water sold without current registration.

All bottled, canned, or packaged drinks not subject to the registration requirements must display caffeine content on their labels as provided by law or departmental order.
