Allows affidavits to correct errors or omissions in previously recorded documents relating to the proper place of recording and scrivener's errors or omissions to be recorded in the county register of deeds office.

Requires affidavits be made by a person with knowledge of relevant facts or competent to testify in court and must meet requirements of sections 1b and 1c.

Permits use of a new document indicating corrective changes and referencing the errant recording by liber and page number as an alternative to filing an affidavit.

Prohibits affidavits from altering substantive rights of any party unless executed by that party.

Requires county registers of deeds to index all names recited within affidavits recorded under this section.
