Adds section 24a to Michigan's airport zoning law (MCL 259.431-259.465) to establish automatic approval of certain permit and variance applications.

Permits or variances for structures, tree planting, or tree growth are automatically granted if the applicant has obtained a permit under the Tall Structure Act (1959 PA 259).

Automatic approval also requires the applicant to have obtained all necessary permits or approvals from the Federal Aviation Administration.

Applications are deemed granted if 90 days have elapsed since filing and the administrative agency enforcing airport zoning regulations has neither granted nor denied the application.

Effective immediately upon the Governor's approval on September 10, 2009.
