Department shall submit a written report to the legislature within 6 months of the effective date and every 4 years thereafter on the offender tracking information system.

Report shall include information on the system's effectiveness, cost, and technology used in its operation.

Copies of the report must be delivered to the Secretary of the Senate, the Clerk of the House of Representatives, and relevant standing committee chairpersons.

"Offender tracking information system" is defined as the department's internet-based system providing information about prisoners, parolees, and probationers under departmental supervision.
