Requires health insurance policies and HMO contracts that cover chemotherapy to include coverage for prescribed, orally administered anticancer medications used to kill or slow the growth of cancerous cells.

Prohibits insurers from applying prior authorization, dollar limits, copayments, deductibles, or coinsurance requirements to oral anticancer medications that do not apply to intravenously administered or injected anticancer medications.

Applies to expense-incurred hospital, medical, or surgical policies and HMO group or individual contracts delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed in Michigan.

Takes effect January 1, 2010.
