Requires drivers approaching a stationary postal delivery vehicle to exhibit due care and caution on public roadways.

On roadways with at least 2 adjacent lanes in the same direction, drivers must move into a lane at least 1 moving lane or 2 vehicle widths apart from the postal vehicle, unless unsafe due to weather, road conditions, or traffic.

On roadways with fewer than 2 adjacent lanes or when lane changes are unsafe, drivers must reduce speed to a safe level and proceed with due care and caution.

Violations are misdemeanors punishable by a fine of up to $500 and/or imprisonment for up to 90 days; violations causing injury to postal workers are felonies punishable by up to $1,000 fine and/or 2 years imprisonment; violations causing death are felonies punishable by up to $7,500 fine and/or 15 years imprisonment.

Defines "postal delivery vehicle" as a clearly marked vehicle owned or operated by the United States Postal Service or contract postal workers for mail collection and delivery.
