Amends MCL 168.644g of the Michigan Election Law to add reference to section 642c regarding changes to regular election dates for jurisdictions.

Protects terms of office for officials elected before an election date change under sections 642, 642a, or 642c by allowing them to continue serving until a successor is elected and qualified at the next regular election.

Officers elected at odd-year general elections with odd-numbered term lengths receive an additional one-year extension to their terms after September 1, 2004.

In home rule cities with staggered governing body elections held outside odd-year general elections, allows ordinances adopted before April 1, 1971 to adjust term lengths up to a maximum of 4 years.

Takes effect only if Senate Bills 751, 752, and 753 are also enacted into law.
