Amends Michigan's child labor law to exempt unpaid volunteer work for tax-exempt organizations (501(c)(3)) from work permit requirements.

Establishes that temporary work permits are valid for 10 days from date of issue, and work permits can be issued by the school district where employment occurs or the nearest public/nonpublic school.

Maintains existing exemption for minors age 13 and older employed in agricultural seed production work during school vacations, requiring employers to keep age verification on file.

Requires employers to return work permits to the issuing officer immediately upon termination of minor's employment.

Work permit exemptions do not waive compliance with other provisions of the child labor law; effective December 9, 2010.
