Department of State Police may charge up to $30.00 for fingerprinting and criminal record checks for employment or licensing purposes, with fees not to exceed actual processing costs.

Fee collection limited until October 1, 2012, and may only be charged once per person (no duplicate fees under other laws).

Department of State Police may charge $10.00 for name-based criminal record checks through October 1, 2012, except when requested by government or nonprofit charitable agencies using the ICHAT system.

Department of State Police must submit annual written reports to the legislature by October 1 each year detailing whether fees are sufficient to cover actual fingerprinting costs.

Effective date is October 1, 2010.
